Race for a Cause: Derby Watch Party

2018 Race for a Cause:  Derby Watch Party

We are excited to announce an inaugural fundraising event for the Junior League of Hampton Roads, Race For a Cause: Derby Watch Party presented by Virginia Health Services!

The Kentucky Derby is more than a horse race, it’s a longstanding tradition – and an excellent reason for a party! So, break out your finest hats and bow ties and join us on May 5, 2018 from 4pm – 8 pm at the Warwick Yacht and Country Club. View map of 400 Maxwell Lane, Newport News, VA 23606 here.

Features of the event will include heavy hors d’oeurves, drinks, live streaming of the race and pre-coverage broadcast from NBC Sports Network, silent auction, raffles, hat and bow tie contests, and more!

Don a derby bow tie, hat, or fascinator. Wearing one is not only tradition, it is considered good luck! From the fantastic to the sublime, there are no rules or limits! There will be a contest for the best bow tie and best hat/fascinator, so join in the celebration by dressing in the spirit of the day!
