The Junior League of Hampton Roads, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
Our Passion
Trained volunteers who are committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve on the Virginia Peninsula. The Junior League of Hampton Roads reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in voluntarism. Members are trained for leadership and effective volunteer services in management, communications, public policy, and other areas through workshops and hands-on experiences.
Our Involvement
Since 1956, the Junior League of Hampton Roads, Inc. has impacted the lives of women and children through community projects, including: co-founding partner of the Virginia Living Museum (VLM) and VLM’s Touch Tank and Reception Desk; Food 4 Kids Back Pack Program with FOODBANK of the Virginia Peninsula; Hands-On Children’s Art Program at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center, Girls of Excellence, Habitat for Humanity, Read Baby Read, various mini grant partnerships, and more.
