Community Impact:

Continuing a 53-year legacy of service in our community, the Junior League of Hampton Roads has partnered with the Riverside Health System Foundation to raise awareness of reproductive cancer and provide related support services for women in the seven communities it serves.

Known for co-founding the Virginia Living Museum along with the Warwick Rotary Club and for sponsoring the 'Hands-on for Kids’ gallery at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center, the League’s mission is to fill gaps in education and services for women and children and in so doing improve their lives and those of future generations.  “Our goal is to fill needs that aren’t being met and focus on projects that have sustainability and a lasting impact,” said Jennifer Kelsay, 2008-2009 League president.

Past Community Sponsors have helped the Junior League of Hampton Roads, Inc. to...

  • Provide the Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula with food items for 671 children and over 370 volunteer hours.
