Junior League of Hampton Roads, Inc. Announces 2009-2010 Board of Directors

NEWPORT NEWS, VA -September 15, 2009-The Junior League of Hampton Roads, Inc. (www.jlhr.org) a non-profit organization of women and member of Association of Junior Leagues International (www.ajli.org) announces the local Board of Directors for 2009-2010 League year.

The Board of Directors for the Junior League of Hampton Roads, Inc. (JLHR) is responsible for managing the internal and external affairs of the organization, which has a membership of more than 600 volunteers. It also provides leadership based on the strategic plan of community projects as approved by the general membership.  Continuing a 52 year legacy of service to our community, the Junior League of Hampton Roads has adopted a new signature project and partnered with the Riverside Health System Foundation to raise awareness of reproductive cancer and provide related support services for women in the seven communities it serves.
